Big News!

Something I've been hiding under my hat (besides a clean-shaven pate) is that for the last few months I have been working diligently on new episodes of "3-2-1 Penguins!"
Yes, I am executive producer* on this new season. Together with my producers, Joe Barruso & Sean Roche, we are creating twenty (yes, 20) new episodes for NBC this year.
The first episode, "I Scream, You Scream" written by Kirby Atkins and directed by me, will air October 6th. New episodes will follow every other week. So set your TiVo! We have new characters and totally new adventures.
I started out kind of re-jiggering the format of the show. You will definitely see some changes.
It seems, though, that we are falling between the cracks of the marketing machine. I haven't seen much promotion of the new shows. So pass along this info to your friends. Remember: New episodes of "3-2-1 Penguins!" Saturday mornings on NBC in the Qubo timeblock. Check your local listings.

Let me know what you think.

Future episodes are being directed by Tom Bancroft, Tod Carter, Rob Corley, John Wahba & Broose Johnson. The writers of this new season are: Kirby Atkins, David Murray, Robert G. Lee, Broose Johnson, Mitch Schauer, Meredith Jennings-Offen and myself.

We were also able to snag come incredible artists for storyboards and concept designs. Its a long list, but to name a few: Michael Spooner, John Nevarez, Eddie Pittman, Cedric Hohnstadt, and many many more.

(* executive producer is a title they give you when you don't get to sleep as much).

But I'm so excited now! No more wait right?!

I'm not sure what "details" you are referring to, but I suppose it would be alright. Just don't share any plot stuff before episodes air.
I'm not a big fan of spoilers.

Oh just basic stuff, and No no, of course I wouldn't do that. You know me. I would never...and besides, you already know the plot of the first one. ^_^

Now I'm gonna watch The Wonderful Wizard of Ha's to keep my mind occupied, and to pass the time...I wish it would pass quicker. ^^)

I think my post got lost so here it is again.
We are very excited and can't wait! I sent an email to my homeschool group to let them know. We have a lot of "Veggies" or is it "Veggers" over here!

Glad you liked it! (I forgot that ION broadcast the show on its own schedule).
The next new episode will be in two weeks, And yes, there are plans to release all the new episodes on DVD eventually. We're working out right now the best schedule for that. Lots of marketing decisions are being worked out right now.

Great stuff! One question: did of the voice talent change?

The characters don't sound quite the same.

Thoroughly enjoyed! I'm a kid all over again, oh wait, I am one....on her second childhood! I had to tape it as I was busy priming my porch, paint it next week. Got caught up with the story, as usual my favorite character was the evil one (but not really)Cavatus and its little hamster. Funny, not a dull moment, moved along at a steady pace, vivid bright colors, good detail.
Great show Mr. Exectuve Producer,
Silvia,

I just read your blog for the first time in a while...wow! I am so suprised that new Penguin episodes are out and there was no advertising for it. They are a huge hit in their time block, right? Well, obviously!

Penguins are awesome! My kiddos will be very happy.

Sadly I didn't TIVO anything this morning. Bummer!

Tell "whoever" that they should send out this kind of info to the Ambassadors. We'll help get the word out. :) PLUS we're cheap! :)

Thank you for all the high praise, everyone.
And to answer one of the anonymous posters: Yes, we did get all new voice talent. Obviously, the kids had outgrown their roles since four years ago. The Penguin crew was a tougher choice and came down to the economics and rigors of recording a weekly television show. I can't fully explain all the details here, but remember, we are producing 20 shows a year rather than two and at less than half the budget per episode than the originals.
We went through a number of actors to find the closest sounding actors we could. So far I have been very pleased with their performance, and I can attest that they are all getting even better with each episode.

Oh, and stay tuned to future episodes! There will be more slowly revealed about Cavitus and Bert.

Hey Tim,
Thanks for the link to your online store. I saw the card, but I was thinking of more like a picture I could frame and hang in my room. I also really liked your t-shirts. I just got a job so I`ll probably stop by your e-store and get some stuff soon. ;)
